painted walls??

when u paint the walls do u just use an everyday outdoor paint or is it something special??

ive seen a fair few aircooleds with the look and i love them on this dub.

 


not sure id do it on my car just interested to know how its done

I thought you had to buy them with painted walls, I didnt realise you had to do it yourself. Is it not ingrained into the rubber, in the moulding process?

maybe it is.  i was just guessing that they were painted as i have never seen any for sale with the walls a different colour.

a camper van in the car park at my work has a really thin coloured line that i thinks look really bling.

some are like that - marked in the rubber

other option is white trims that just fit on any tyres

find your local american-auto dealer and ask them about whitewall tyres  mostly seen on huge V8 caddy's

I do think they look like the Canines Cojones, I wouldnt mind having a car classy enough to stick them on. Would need to be a proper blinged up, Ho-renting, platinum lined, pimp mobile!

Yeah I'm sure that they're made as part of the tyre, but I remember having a white pen thingy that you could get to highlight the lettering on my motorbike tyres.
Would only take you a few weeks to do properly

just think, if you put white wall tyers on white alloys your wheels would look huge!!!!!! you could have that 20 inch alloy look on a mk2

you either buy them like that or there are places where you can buy just the wall as a disc that gets fitted to the rim as the tyre goes on. wouldn't know where to get them though, might be worth checking out hotrod sites or maybe even motor bike sites? anyone into american cars should be able to help you out i'd have thought.
