Getting back into a mk2
« on: 28 July 2009, 20:08 »
Hopefully just done a deal with Martz for his "Ghetto" MK2, just got to get me 2 wings and some seats now.
Can't wait to get it.
Picking it up on 11 aug, got to clear some crap out the garage first.
Found the wings on the net £19 each new, might try the breakers aswell, see what they got and there are always interiors coming up on here, either mk2 or 3.
Just can't wait to get back into a mk2.

Yes sir, it is the PB. I think I also have the service kit for it, which is of course chargeable.

let's hope all goes well and you bring it back to life :afro:

PS: I had Martz's GTD off him a few months ago, what a lovely car  (when she doesn't have a tantrum and tries to run on air bubbles  )

Here's a pic of your beast next to mine

I was tempted to get this and stick it in my father in laws garage and sort it out over a few years, but the missus would have killed me having 3 cars :lipsrsealed: 2 of which would have been fookered

But for the purest engine experience, displacement has no replacement. All other methods are simply attempts to artificially recreate the benefits of displacement.

I have the old 5 door GTD interior still. £30 to you (but it is 5 door!)

I have some 3 door seats going atm. decent condition apart from the drivers seat which has the usual wear and tear, not looking for much for 'em. Located in London N19, pm me if interested.
