Common fault apparently - mine sometimes does it. Just monitoring it tbh. Got full VW warranty for two years so, will deffo get it done!

Mine did the random thing for a day or two then has never shown itself again - touch wood

Why would anyone want to remove their Rear wiper !!!, while your at it, remove both the fronts to help with your ability to see things on the road

The GTi gets a very dirty back end with the air flow over it. What ever floats your boat and the end of the day.
