I think buying a mk6 to replace a mk5 is pure loonacy, unless your somone who changes regardless every few years
Mk5 residuals have remained strong, mainly due to the fact that there arnt many MK6 gti's on the road yet. As more and more hit the roads the value of Mk5's will decrease (affraid so

). So someone who has had their car 5 yrs would be pretty wise to chop it in and change now.
Especially those who are able to take advantage of the scrappage scheme... So if you look closely at most things that are mad you can find some method in them somewhere
