We won't mention that the centre bore is smaller on a Vauxhall than on a VW though.......

They won't fit if the center bore is smaller, but you can get a machine shop to open up the center bore on a lathe, no problem. I did this on a set of ATS wheels from a Vauxhall.

... it's turned into a fashion show for poofters.

I thought they were bigger, the wheels i had on my first golf were vauxhall (i found out after) and i had some little plastic spacer things on the centre bore so it fitted square, also had to have spacers on the back to stop it catching on the inside.

They will squeeze on as you tighten up the wheel nuts, although i don't think that method is too healthy. It also becomes a problem when you want to remove the wheels, mainly because they're pretty much stuck!

As said though, can always get them machined out if you want them that much.

I stand corrected, Vauxhall is 56.6 and VW is 57.1 so will need machining out to suit.
