Hi all,  My Mk3 Gti has 1 key which does the ignition, boot lock and passanger door but a diffrent key for the drivers door.

Is there anyway I can change the lock in the drivers door so I can use just the 1 key??

Its only a silly thing but really bugs me!!

Other question is - how do I take the rear door card off a 5 door??

Many thanks

Put the pass door handle on the drivers side then fit a rear door handle on the pass door.

other wise you need a new set of keys and all the locking barrels etc (it wouldnt need coding as you could swap the chips in the keys)

Put the pass door handle on the drivers side then fit a rear door handle on the pass door.

Will the pasanger side handle fit on the drivers side ok then??

I like the sound of putting a rear handle on the passanger side - that would look alot better

Yeh,take the handle off and on the back (the bit that goes inside the door) there should be a philips screw in the middle of the lock undo it
and the locking mechanism should come off then u can slide the lock out,do the same on the other handle and swap em over.

If you mean the door card - yes I need to take it off because I have a probem with the window sliping down, cant see any screws but dont want to break anything just by pulling it off!!
