mk3 noob
« on: 22 July 2009, 09:04 »
Hi, Ive just brought my first VW. I havent been driving long ( yes I was a very late starter lol) and I have been ragging around in a little Fiat Seicento while trying to save for my dream VW. I didnt manage to save much as the Fiat cost me a fortune cos it always needed fixing!! so I found a mk3 golf for £650 and brought it just so that I had a VW.
I didnt want a Mk3 if Im honest but it was to much of a bargain to let it pass. Its 14 years old and only has 33,000 miles on it ( only done 400 miles in the last 4 yrs) it has new brakes, tyres and exhaust pipe, its been regularly serviced and is cleaner than a clean thing on a clean day  oh and its an 4 door, auto ( the two worst things about the car )
Ive been to Halfrauds and got lots of meguires and hopefully if the sun ever shines again I will get out there and shine her up. I doubt I will do anything else to her for a while cos I just dont know what I wanna do with her....do I sell and get a flashy little number  :smug: or do I stick with her cos she is a really solid car that the mechanic thinks will live forever with very little need for repair :undecided: :undecided: :undecided:

Ooops sorry, rambling a bit there  :embarassed:

It would be great to hear from any fellow mk3 owners or if anyone knows of any other forums that are especially for mk3 owners, that would be good
