Newbie, Hi all Pipe dreams afloat
« on: 21 July 2009, 13:38 »
Currently thinking of coming back to the DUBside,
Sold my mk2 golf in 2006, ran a Transporter T3 for 3yrs, and recently got rid of it.
Breif flirtation with Rat look 1.9 aaz Caddy.

Current Project is a Volvo 145 1971, very much adopting the aircooled scene looks atm.
Everyday driver is a 190e 2.6 slush box. I have a 3.6 lump to go in it, but without volvo project making much headway no time to drop new lump in.

i'm on look out for a Golf estate, mk3 because i have a nice set of deep rims that will just fit with minimal arch pulling, and in year or so time will probs want another project.

Thoughts for moment, Matt Black, Polish rims, Vento Front, Oh and low as possible.

So any TDI Estates would make my dreams come true.

Long term really like 3 door estates, I know i've seen pictures of Vento 3 door coupe conversions and would like to take estate in that direction. dont want to weld up doors as just looks gash, and need longer doors, Anyone any experiance with fitting 3 door doors and moving pillars? i know i'll have to do fair bit of fabrication to make a rear window aperture to make 1 piece. But hey i'd rather be in cold garage with arc eye rather than watch the rubbish on tv
