hi all, well im  little pissed off today.
my mechanic popped into work today and said he had nothingto do and did i want him to have my car to get the exhaust on it, brill, i thought i was gonna have a new toy to play with, wrong!
the fatherless son is the wrong exhaust, even though i was told it was off the same year car as mine, either that or this mongoose cat back system on mine is all to cock :(
so im a little nobbed off now, cos this means it wont be on for the leeds volksfest :(
dont think my mechanic was overly impressed either as i wasted his time (im sure some alcohol his way will lighten him up, lol)

ok, the other day as you may have seen i asked about painting the standard gti lights - which i have now done!
i'll get some pics up later ort tomoz when i get the grill back on and tbh im more than impressed!!
i actually like the lights as they are, so that will do till i see the right vento front!! lol
akso wired up my amp to the speakers and fed the wire from the battery to the amp, so when i get a bit more time i will finish the wiring up and then i only have a few mmore things to do for the volksfest!!
soo excited!!

right, well i have been busy this past week - not really had chance to update on here,
ive given the car a good polishing and a good clean up, blacked all the bumpers, finished my red bull bonnet lifters, fitted a second hand air mass meter - which has totally changed the car, still not running right as the revs stick a little high and still occasionally the idle drops when sat there, but im  thinking thats the isv tbh - new metal vw valve caps, and a few more things that have gone into a blur, lol.
this weeks plans before leeds fest -
re fit n/s mud guard,
replace radio aerial earth,
fit new sill cover on o/s
paint rocker cover,
fill and paint bonnet damage,
possibly mesh front bumper,
thats all i can think of for now!
will get the pics up when i get chance!

hi all,
bit of an update...
got my list of jobs done apart from the meshing of the front bumper... didn't have time to work out how to attach it but never mind, lol.
also drilled the airbox last night, which seems to have made a nice smooth difference actually surprised!!
think a few more holes wont go a miss though, lol.
so winter plans are now...
vento front end,
weld drivers seat up so i dont fall into the back seat whilst driving again, lol,
re-spray wing,
mesh front bumpers,
mot, lol,
find nice back box,
and paint the engine.
my mate said that as i'd already started a red bull thing under the bonnet that i should carry it on, lol.
so i thought sod it, im gonna do it.
so have started painting the red bull emblem across the engine block an gear box, may take a while to do but its something different, lol.
will re sort all of the pics on the thread cos i cleaned my photo bucket up and then realised that it lost them on here :(
will try do that later.

right - bit of an update!
having thought that my mot was not due till dec... i checked my paperwork and its due next month - cock!!
so i need 2 new tyres at the back - so gonna have 195's on as oppose to 205's,
drivers seat needs welding,
oil change and wynns oil stuff to hopefully stop it smoking so much and making me fail my emmission,
poss all my brake pipes need doing as they were an advisory last year :(,
and hopefully no more, but im worrying cos this will be the first mot i have put it through!!

on the progress front... i have got a cheapo strut brace thats in the process of being painted,
may tint the rear lights,
and i saw a golf round me that looks exactly like mine and poss has the same wheels on :(
not happy, so mine is defo getting this vento front on cos im not having that!!
also may have a few slats but in the wings for the fun of it, lol!
