Okay a few simple but better looking and practical mods....

First off all:.... the crappy cupholders in the back...I closed the lid...drilled 2 holes and placed a BBB bike-bottle holder and bought a "Camel-bak" 500 ml bottle (meaning a very simple one hand operation during your steering)..
My wife and I are heavy drinkers...wine at night but loads of water during the day (we run a lot so thirsty athletes )...

compulsary wretched lifehammer

Is that compulsory only in The Netherlands or is it other countries as well. I've never seen one in the German hire cars I get.

The specs holder is somewhere else, near the overhead reading light and microphone housing. The area where your specs are is for reasonable sized bottles where the bottle opener divides the space.
Fiddle away: I love it too!

Apart from the lifehammer, i don't really see the point of what you've done, just put your shades where they are supposed to go in the overhead storage box and put your drink in the cupholder where you've put your shades, or am i missing something???

I know the lifehammer is since 1 january 2010 compulsary in the Netherlands...it has to be placed within reach (that makes somehow sense ) and it is used to hammer the window down or cut your safetybelt...it is obvious it can safe your life so I keep them (others take the risk to get a ticket...or worse)...but it HAS to look good...

In the most beautiful Bentley-car show rooms you see this ghastly orange or yellow glowing plastic thing mounted...one for you and one for your passenger...

The spec holder above your head I really do not like...

I think that you are a typically huge Dutch man with an extra large head and your specs don't fit where they should even in a German car!
