not to mention that the plastic bit is rough and not flat so you couldn't put a kick plate on it anyway... unless you wrap a bit of foil over it!  :laugh:

tbh the plastic bit does seem to get dirty quite easily, though nothing a wipe with a wet cloth won't sort.

Thanks for the part numbers... but £500 a set?! I'm not sure if that's correct actually; when I enquired at my dealer, the stock non-LED light clusters were half that price  :huh:

You would think so, but somebody posted pix of stick-on plates for the plastic covers a few days ago, and I thought they looked ok (but, as I said, pointlessly expensive, given the cost of the part they are supposed to protect).

I think they are the mk5 GTI ones. I hope the mk6 GTI are different. I personally wouldnt want any of that boy racer style sh!t on my sills.

Most sills would be the same apart from the writing obviously. What do you think would look smart?

just found this on the new golf r - still not really a fan since i tend to step onto the plastic bit so this would be for show only.

Looks closer to a MKIV font. Either way it's the wrong font for a MKV or VI.  :nerd:
