GTI mk6, 3dr Manual (Yes Manual! If I wanted a Taxi I'd hail one, not spend £1500 on one), Candy White, Full Leather, Xenons, ACC, 18", RCD510 + Dynaudio, DAB Radio, Winter Pack, Luxury Pack, Fiscon Bluetooth Plus, Golf R LED's.

They'll probably tell you the specifications are 'subject to change' - like in the brochures. Anyway, these LED's might not even become available to RHD markets. The Mk5 LED's never did - people who did retro-fit them had to take them apart and rebuild themselves.

Ok, just off the phone to VW customer care. The woman there had no idea (litterally as she asked me whether my Golf GTI was petrol or diesel !!), so she spoke to her colleague and they were unaware of any changes. They checked their updates from VW and theres nothing on any paperwork to suggest that the UK market is getting these lights, or keyless ignition.

Considering how daft the woman came across, I called my local stealer (Breeze VW Bournemouth) to see what they know, and they were unaware of any changes either.

They did comment that build week 45 is around the same time that the Golf R goes into production so there could be some confusion. They also commented that the cost of the R would be circa £25k before extras ....which makes me ask why I brought the GTI !!

thanks for the update dude. i feel a bit better now as i was well hacked off with that light situ.  sounds like a right moron on the phone though lol.  as for the golf r being 25k, that is balls, its gonna be 28k min imo - your dealer is talking sh1te  :laugh:

Calm down ladies.  Of course there is always something better 'just around the corner' and there will always be people that 'just bought before the new one' but that's life otherwise nothing would progress.....

I personally like my lights, not that fussed about them to be honest.....
