I read om motortalk.de that the connection will not fit, that's why we need an adapter........

You're probably right, my dealer doesn't really seem to be up to speed on brand new stuff like this :sad:

The thread on motortalk.de does suggest a wiring loom adapter will be needed... it also suggests that the LED's will be standard fit on GTI/GTD from build week 45 onwards - in Germany anyway.

They are sweet but is there anything really wrong with the standard ones? I'm all for mods but this ones seems of little return for the cost?

Golfgti build quality is average at best.

Nothing at all wrong with the standard ones. But for the price, which is little over the cost of a flat tyre indicator, I know which one Id rather have.


GTI mk6, 3dr Manual (Yes Manual! If I wanted a Taxi I'd hail one, not spend £1500 on one), Candy White, Full Leather, Xenons, ACC, 18", RCD510 + Dynaudio, DAB Radio, Winter Pack, Luxury Pack, Fiscon Bluetooth Plus, Golf R LED's.

Only ones I've seen off the top of my head are the GTI Worthersee and the R.

After visiting IAA Frankfurt it seems that there are 2 different LED taillights.

On the R20 they were much darker, more black.............maybe that's why you have an "K" or an "R" at the end of the part number..........
