how to 'set up' abf digi 3.2 into mk2
« on: 16 July 2009, 16:58 »
so the bits are bought. engines built up, and its ready to go in.

on the mk2 pb 8v, the advance had to be set @ 6'btdc @2.25k, then idle set etc.

is the mk3 abf engine the same? or does the management sort all of this with the knock sensors, lambda etc.  is the dizzy fixed to run maximum advance until it detects knock/ pinking??

please excuse me, im new to these modern engines

you dont need to set anything, dizzy is locked in place and there is no idle + co setup. everything is set automatically by the ecu!

thanks x2 dude

what exactly does the vacume hose that goes from the inlet manifold to the ecu do/work out?
does it need to be exactly 1m like the g60's?

goes to a MAP senso in zee ecu:

The vac hose doesnt need to be a specific length as far as I've been able to find out, but I still cut the hose to 1m 'just in case'
