Hottuning coilovers

  well tried fitting my coilovers today,big problems!first the front ones come with nothing to support the bearing,so had to make up something to do the job,that sorted i tried to get the bottom of the front coilover into the hub carrier,but no mater wot ive tried it wont go in!!!!! ive used something to open the gap,filed the end  so its nice and smooth but it still wont go in,anybody got any ideals on how to get the fecker in?/

i had the same prob with the strut fittin in the whole mate . i had to grind away about 0.75-1mm around bottom of the strut and weld to get them in..... as for the bearing how did you get over that ? i am getin new mounts with bearing this week  as mine wer a mess to be honnest

pack the inside of bearing with washers and put a big washer for bearings to sit on,mate of mine whos into his motorsport said go to an engineer shop and get them to machine a top hat style thing that the bearing sits on and also goes up inside to support it

I have read a few post about these hot tuning coillies they are cheap but at what expense as above

I  agree they wer a nightmare but now there on to be honnest there pretty good the ride is not harsh as people have said and overall there only £180 for a set up that alows a fairly nice drop and gives a ok ride

i did msg the guy from hottuinng about all my probs and he did give me a small cash refund as a sorry . he seem pretty emarassed about the probs i had ......

hmm i am happy with springs and shocks 40mm drop IMO
