Spring under seat and airbag light. Coincidence?
« on: 11 July 2009, 13:17 »
Hey all,

A couple of days ago my airbag light came on so I looked up airbag lights here this morning and went to check the wiring under the seats. Under the drivers seat there was a long spring hanging down. A little investigation shows tha it runs on the outside edge of the seat from the front to quite near the back. The bit of metal it clips on to has sheared off.  Is it anything to do with the airbag in the seat or sheer coincidence that it broke the same time my airbag light came on. I totally can't work out what the spring is for.  :undecided:

All ideas much appreciated!!

Maybe the spring hit a connection and made it dodgy/earth out.
