Changing from 5dr to 3dr?

Hi
Have been looking at doing an interior swap as mine's a bit tatty. After looking around for a bit it seems that the only good examples of a driver's seat i can find are the 5dr versions (want the grey/red check pattern to replace mine).

So i was thinking, is it possible to change a 5dr drivers seat to the 3dr version, and is it worth doing?

They fit exactly the same mate, but they don't go forwards like 3dr ones do.. So if anyone wants to sit in the back they have to be a bit flexible!

I believe the mechanism is still there at the bottom of the seat, just no handle on the side connecting the cables.

£100 and I will sell you a nice tidy complete GTi 3 door interior. And I am in London.

I will have a look when I get home. I think they are checked with yellow/black. Will confirm though and MMS a pic if you want mate.

Should have made it clearer i guess. Want to know if it's possible to fit the tilt mechanism into a 5dr seat.

Ideally looking for the grey/red check pattern, but i'll have a look. will pm you my number.

Don't they already have the tilt mechanism? My 5dr jetta has a tilty seat!

So you'd just need to put in the handle on the side of the seat back? Makes sense that the seats are basically the same i suppose.
