hi got my r32 steering wheel today can i fit it my self or should i go to a garage how will i do it

Very easy job,takes about 5 mins.The only special tool you need is an M12 multispline,if your in the NW i'll change it over for you.

thats very nice off you but i could not be further away mate bristol where can i get that tool from do i have to be wary off air bag dont want it taking my beak off driving to work

The airbag going off is an urban myth so don't worry,just don't turn the ignition on after you have removed the air bag,this is to prevent the airbag warning light coming on.

If you look at your R32 steering wheel you'll see two holes in the back,stick a screw driver in the hole to give you an idea of how the airbag clips work.Now you have this sussed,you need to turn your steering wheel 90 degrees,unclip one side of the airbag,turn it back the other way,the airb should now be uncliped.Turn your steering wheel back straight and remove the key from the ignition.Now pull the aibag off and pull out the yellow connector and place on the passenger seat,use the spline tool to remove the bolt holding the steering onto the car and slide it off.Swap any connections from your wheel into the R32 wheel(this is for the horn etc...)

Put the r32 wheel on tighten up the nut,plug the airbag back in and push it into the clips(be firm),when your happy turn the ignition on and test drive to see if it is bang on straight,and adjust if you need to.

ha i decided to change the trigger handles first but could not figure out why the door lock would not go down when i had finished soi kept taking door panel off to see what i had done wrong some time later i decided just to put it back together lock car with the key and the button went down good as new i no now that the cars copmuter probably reset its self could have saved hours im new to the moding game so lesson learnt steering wheel piece of thanks to your info thanks mate only got r32 interior and r32 gear knob to do now
