tunning tips for v5

Im interested in getting a V5,wot engine/fuel mods do you dudes recomend?
I here there is  bit of a  flat spot between 2 n 3 grand..

?600 for a remap and cat-back milltek fitted, can't be bad  8)

next step would be forced induction if you have a few grand to spare.
or there's always nitrous if you're feeling cheeky.

Have you considered the Seat Toledo V5, same power plant, gearbox running gear, floor pan and dashboard for ?3K LESS than a Golf V5.  Mine is in the for sale section if you are, all that money saved for tuning......

I'm planning on going to university so I want to get rid of it and get back in a Mk3 Golf GTi (its also slightly cheaper).  Its as the advert says, there is NOTHING that needs doing to it.  It has been recently taxed, serviced, new tyres and a new compressor for the aircon system.  Its based on the Golf but has an enormous boot, the interior will look very familiar as it has the same dashboard.
