Hello all, new member looking for advice.
« on: 09 July 2009, 19:30 »
Hello all, I am looking into getting myself a mk4 gti, Preferably 3 door in black.

I have had a look and i have seen that the 2.0 gti is only 115bhp, I have a 306 Dturbo at the min with a little over 150bhp and was hoping for the gti to be a big step up to be honest.

Are there several 2.0 gti options? I dont know a whole lot about them but i sat in one at a dealership a few weeks ago and loved the interior quality and driving position so im now looking to buy.

Short of the r32 whats the best engine to go for?

Do they not do a 2.0 turbo???

what sort of power does the 1.8t have and how easy is it to get decent numbers out of?

if you want performance, forget the 2.0 altogether

Performance is one of the main reasons yes, i have reached the max of my 306 without shelling out big £££ so its time for a change.

That thread was a big help, thanks.
