It could also be that your dealer has an allocation of one or two a month and they already had orders for their allocation.

Maybe they put your order in the month after?
Also certain speccs can cause delays (sunroof, xenons)

I ordered mine 3 weeks ago and have been told Sept 1st.
Mk7 GTI. DBP, DCC, Winter pack. Mine since new, July 2013.

That's the hymn they've all been singing to me too.

What was your DealDrivers quote like?  They were going to get back to me after I called them just after the last car had gone at the prices on their web page, but I emailed them and said thanks, but I just got a good quote from a local dealer.

My dealer came in £500 more than the DealDrivers figures for the price that was no longer available.  Which I thought was quite good enough, given that I could see the whites of their eyes and I wouldn't have to drive hundreds of miles to collect.  But I'd be interested to know where they're pitching it now.

Are you sure that's not just for people buying with the scrappage scheme Rolfe ?

Also, I see on their site that they are still advertising the GTI at the same price, so if what you're saying is true and they no longer have GTI's at the price you were quoted at then they are false advertising ? I'd have thought as their prices are updated as from 9th July that they would still be valid ?

GTI mk6, 3dr Manual (Yes Manual! If I wanted a Taxi I'd hail one, not spend £1500 on one), Candy White, Full Leather, Xenons, ACC, 18", RCD510 + Dynaudio, DAB Radio, Winter Pack, Luxury Pack, Fiscon Bluetooth Plus, Golf R LED's.

I couldn't say for sure.  I told them I had a car eligible for scrappage, and I didn't ask about a no-scrappage deal.  However, the text just said, these are the prices, and you can take off another £2000 for scrappage, so I'd assumed it didn't make any difference (unlike Broadspeed, who wouldn't budge a penny with scrappage but would talk deals without).

Do they still have the block of text that says the GTis have all been sold at that price, but call them for another quote?

ETA:  Yes, but the date has changed to Thursday, whereas I originally saw it with Tuesday's date.

PRODUCTION NOTE - 9th July
* GTI production allocation for our VW dealers is now full, we do have another dealer still with some allocation but at a slightly lower discount than the deals shown below, ask for details

I think you need to contact them for an up-to-date quote.  Though of course they should update the actual page.

Interesting that they say they have a place even cheaper than whats advertised on their site.

If I dont get a good deal through my work when I order, then I think I'll use broadspeed, they have garages in Scotland so easier for me to get the car. What were they like when you talked to them ?
