Let the flaming begin!
Being a son of a pig sergeant/acting inspector I have big respect for the feds. It's a tough job and you see some really nasty stuff especially RTA's if you are on traffic.
Turned over to itv4 night before last just as one of the old mans chases came on, was a proper mind f*ck after a few pints.
And the infamous XR4x4 chase through Leicestershire (stolen XR4x4 being chased by a police XR4x4) came on shortly after, the camera car was driven by my Dad's mate Dick. My claim to fame 
Thought about jumping on the bandwagon a few times as most of my mates seem to be joining
Fun job with a great pension!
What's there to lose?
Apart from obviously your dignity...
The only downside is having pikeys spit in your face and not being able to do anything about it.
The other day a friend of mine was put on review because he called a heroin user in custody a disgusting c*nt after he chewed off the inside of his mouth and spat a mouthful of aids infected blood into his eye (a favourite of the desperate, angry junkie!)
Lucky they didnt get roughed up, being verbally abused is getting off lightly for that sorta thing. They are allowed to use quite some force these days when people spit at them arent they. Surprised your mate got a rollocking.
A very good friend of mine got stabbed in his first week of being a special, only in the arm like, but still it does show you how dangerous it can be. He is a fully pledged copper now though and he loves it, been moved over to Braunstone area in Leicester working from headquarters to see a bit more action.
Something I am going to look into for the future definately
