Off topic and apologies, but reading jdjd's post there got me thinking that I read somewhere recently another of the big companies is moving their call centres to India. Now I'm all for sharing wealth with the 3rd World and try and use fairly responsible companies where I can to minimise exploitation but bloody hell you wouldn't believe the trouble I had with BT when my Mum passed away not so long ago. You go through to a berievement(sp) section after calling the automated BT line and have to register stuff. Very polite and all that but neither of us could make the other understand each other properly and the bill we ended up getting was completely wrong so I phoned again and was put through to another gent in the same department who also couldn't understand what I was saying. To cut a long story short he ended up telling me to ignore the incorrect bill and again apologised for my loss. Couple of days later a letter arrived for me offering me condolances on my own death!!!! I gave up then. I know I'm a thick West Country carrot cruncher but I didn't think my accent was that bad?
