MK3 engines into MK2's
«

How simple is it to transfer a MK3 engine into a MK2? Just wondering what complications there are and what benefits it would have. I know you get it to 2.0L 16v, but what advantages would it have over the 1.8L 16v?
Cheers

Sounds good. But how easy is it? I was looking at a wiring loom for the 1.8T conversion too, and it seems the cost will come down due to this. Anyone else see it in PVW this month?

put the 9a 2.0l block on your engine
the head on the mk2 16v is better than the mk3 one i think

vdub 16v is rite, put the 9a block in.
no point in the mk3 16v enfine matey.
the 9a is well tuneable
bit of fettling and you could easily be pushing 170bhp
shouldnt be too hard to find as vw put the 9a block into the old passats as well

You can also use a 6A block out of an Audi.

isn't the 6A block shorter so it gives better low down power too?
