Decent VW or Indy garage in Glasgow area
« on: 07 July 2009, 10:39 »
In other members experiences, is there any particular VW/Indy garages that you can recommend for knowing what they're talking about around Glasgow and the central belt?

Annual service, not a biggie.

The GTD is like a blow up doll. The GTI is like a proper woman. Sure the doll might last longer, and the woman might have higher running costs, but which would you rather have?

I use George Morrison in Rutherglen. He's a Porsche expert but deals with all the German brands. Really really top mechanic.

Thanks guys for the input.

I saw the 'A-4-Audi' post on another forum, so that's great.. I'll look into all three of them.

I just don't want to give uncle Arnold any more of my money.

What really winds me up is the traditional dealer response - "There's no fault codes so it must be fine".

Would be nice if the dealer technicians actually had some engineering expertise rather that just the ability to plug the thing in and then change the bits that it says to change.

NB - i'm sure there are some very highly skilled VW dealer staff out there, I just haven't found any yet.
