T-cut equivalent? G3, G6?

Hi. Just bought a mk2 gti in white. The paint is faded/weathered. Can someone recommeded a t-cut equivalent that is easier to apply/remove and with better results?

What about Farecla G3 or G6 perhaps?

Farecla G3 is the cats whiskerz when it comes to detailing. However, it can only be used with a machine polisher for the best possible results.

However, best thing to do, is Clay the car, then use several coats of AutoGlym Super Resin Polish with loads of elbow grease but thats if you can't afford the machine polisher or cant borrow one.

THEN, apply a glaze & wax after.

please remember that before giving out advice like this that G3 is a harsh compound that does not degrade into a polish the more you work it... therefore the uninitiated might end up smashing through their paintwork before they know it

G6 in whatever guise you are using it is very harsh and and should only be used when absolutley necessary

I've had some great results with G3 combined with a machine polisher, especially on older white cars.

I had a '93 Audi 80 which had been badly neglected. It came up as good as new. Also similar results on an old white 7 series.

As Guy says, you need to go careful with it though. I tend to use it on a fairly slowish speed on the machine just to be safe. After that, a couple of coats of SRP after will do the trick.
