Order my 1st ever GTI today

Hi Guys and Girls,
Took the plunge today and order my very 1st Golf GTI. My mum who is a pensioner got a Mk 5 gti with dsg and REVO remap. She is very happy (She is a fanatic VW fan for many years) that I went for the GTI rather than a low mileage secondhand 3 series 330d coupe!
The whole sales experience been v. good! They offer me a good trade-in price and knock a few hundred quid off the GTI!
The following is my Spec.
ACC,
Luxury Pack
Sat nav
Xenon
Parking sensors
GAP insurance
Can't decide on
1. Carbon grey vs Steel grey
2. Telephone prep. ---My Sales man told me it only work with Nokia and Blackberry phone :embarassed:

steel grey. looks absolutely stunning in my opinion. and with the additions of xenons - if youve ever seen a gti in real life with these, and you have the money to spend on them, its a no brainer - they make the car look on another level. you must have a hefty building week wait !

Heh mate got yourself a stunning sounding motor there.  I'd go for carbon grey it will look well cool with the addition of the xenons.

I've got quite a few extras on mine and it's build week 28 ordered 23rd May so have a bit of a wait still on it.

Anyway for now enjoy the anticipation and don't forget to post some pics when you get it. :laugh:

yo - what deal did you manage to get on your GTI?  seems that prices have been going up in Jul :(

i'm looking to haggle for a good deal so any advice you can share would be appreciated!

The Audi dealer is a short walk from VW. There is a low mileage S3 (30miles) selling for £24000. They also offer a very good trade-in for my old car. (Same price as if I sell my car privately) Went to Vw after, told them about the S3. Not only they offer a £500 discount on the GTI, they offer more for my old car. Doesn't take me too long to make my mind up! Very happy with my decision. Told may get my car in september. Can't wait! :laugh:
