Get spare rims for the R888's as they're lethal on the road in standing water because you can't get them up to temperature. Also on something as heavey as MKV I doubt you'd getmore than 2K out of a front pair.

Jonnyc has been running R888's on his car and has done trackdays, sprints and has put over 3k on them with plenty of grip left on the fronts

I know the R888's have issues in the wet, but I'd be using them on sunny days and trackdays on separate alloys like you say Nick

The tyres are around £165 to £170 a corner, so £660 to £670 is how much they would cost overall.
