Trip to Wales - EVOTRIANGLE
« on: 04 July 2009, 19:27 »
Last weekend myself Davoaj and another mate took our cars to the evotriangle in wales for a blast.

Left at 2pm and due to traffic and a massive detour home we returned at 830pm, worth it and was a good laugh watching them in my rear view (cue Davoaj to protest)

anyway here are the pics we took

After my R32 was stolen I am now in the 156 GTA in the pics.

Davoaj - reason I bought the R32 was his car

and finally what's a road trip with an Alfa without a problem along the way???

I really wanted to do this.

A few months back, I tried a road trip from Bournemouth to Stratford to Brum to Wolves to Wales (EVO) and back to B'mouth again. Something like a 500-600 mile round trip. Unfortunately it rained pretty heavily that day so had to abandon wolves and wales that day.

Would love to go visit some time, when it's quiet!

It was deserted when we were there

Only reason I was in Tyrer's rear view mirror was because I was stuck behind that bloody BMW!!!

The EVO triangle isn't a place. It's a set of roads.

There's a better one down by Aberdovey  takes you by the Army Training camp and Devil's Staircase......

We did it in a Subaru meet - wives/partners were issued OS maps instead as the roads are rather hairy!!LOL!!

As I found out when wifey told me the next turn was a left-hander....... she WAS correct.......

It was a hairpin!!!

Still, learnt how to drift the car that day!!!

We should do it - would be a great day out, and have a BBQ up at the Rhayader dams......

Dan

There are great roads to be had in this country, even though the German Autobahns in 8 months will be special... again.

Agreed with a 'mass road meet'... although i'm not VW anymore  not to my choice. Ill just tag along in davoaj's

good idea would be a european 1 day event to france????
