My black/mulberry leather is looking a bit dull and in some places like the drivers bolster its worn to a brown, scuffed look.
any tips on any products to use to stop it looking crap.

I use Auto Glym leather cleaner followed by the conditioner cream which is great.

If you need to re-colour the leather (cracks etc) I got some stuff off ebay which is a coloured cream which dyes and protects the leather. It's bloody brilliant stuff.

Used to have a 20 year old 7 series with blue leather that was all cracked and crap. Did the whole car with the stuff and it looked like new.

Is that the grey mkV leather you have?  Any chance of a link to the stuff as my bolsters are looking a bit sorry for themselves?

Agreed that the AG conditioner is good.  Unfortunately I don't think the previous owner had heard of looking after leather properly...

I used the product on a 20 year old BMW where the leather was shot to sh!t all over. If you just want to use it on a worn bolster then my advice is to be careful as the cream is black and your car's leather will be dark grey / anthracite.

Basically you work the cream into the cracks/wear points in the leather and it dyes it. 2 or three coats is good. Then rub off the excess or you end up with black clothing when you sit in the car!!!

I would only recommend using this for very bad cracks/wear. If you just have the usual bolster wear then you might be better off using a specialst leather repair company as it won't cost too much.
