Need to spruce my paint up, help please??

Bought a new door yesterday 'cause mine was....a tad rusty :-s anyway, paint's a lil flat and there's weird marks on it, like it's bubbling, but it's not raised at all. Anyway, took some tcut to it, looks a bit better, but still there, any ideas??




Not sure if the pic's'll be any help, but ah well

looks to me like that has been sprayed in damp conditions... you could polish that till you were blue in the face but you might not get anywhere?

+1 what he said. Looks like it hasn't been painted very well.

Get someone to go over it with a machine polisher and some compound. If that doesn't work (and you feel brave) you could flat down the lacquer with some very fine wet and dry, then machine polish it back to a glossy finish with a polisher and some G3 paste. Probably best to get someone to do it who's done it before.

After that, polishes and waxes will improve the appearance but if the paint itself is no good then you are p*ssing in the wind.

Cheers mate well I can get it resprayed for about £20-30 so might look into that.
