What is the purpose of a bonnet bra ?

i think thats what the toblerone holders are there for  delfects the stones onto your windscreen instead

Yes, but if you look at stone chipped bonnets (Mine) then you will see that about 90% of the stone chips are where the bra would have been.

Personally I don't care about frontal stone chips - The parts are plastic and my bonnet is painted carbonfibre and so none of it is going to rust.
