What is the purpose of a bonnet bra ?

Is it to prevent stone chippings ?

Thanks, it tickled my mrs when i told her there was such a thing as a bonnet bra.I suppose you put them on and take them off when you are travelling to a show :laugh:

Yes just seen your photo it looks like it fits quite snug.

Yeah they fit pretty tight the one in my pic is one my mate made for me in white  :grin: only put it on at shows otherwise it gets dirty reallll quick, its abit of a marmite bra that one either you love it or hate it lol, i usually run around with a standard black one on.

Must admit i`d never seen or heard of one before i came on this site,Would you have one if you car was new ?

im not sure really, i like em on mk2's cause there a square car and the straight lines of it looks good on there if you get me, im not as sure if they look as good on a curvy car really but on certain new cars they do look good, but on a standard new car? i probably wouldnt get one. that just my opinion tho  :grin:

They seem to be quite fashionable at the moment. You have to be careful that debris doesn't get inside and not leave them on for too long - A bit like underpants really.

I travelled in the company of two Mk5 GTI's on a long road trip recently and they both had bonnet bras, so I saw a lot of them. I'm afraid that I think they look absolutely ghastly!
