turbo actuator and vacume???

hi,

my turbo keeps intermitently going off on my golf gt tdi 110bhp.  today i manged to get it up in the air and looked at the actuator and the vacume that is attached however the vacume has a hole in it.  will this cause loss of power every so often and how much am i looking to replace?

It would mean that the actuator wouldn't work properly. pop to vw and see how much the part costs. hopefully that is the cause of your problems

sorry i havnt got back to you mate, they dont sell the part seperate. lol they was more than happy to try and sell me a new turbo haha lol loosers :-) ive since oiled the actuator and its working perfect now so im unsure what to do.  might just leave it and see how it goes :-) fingers crossed matey haha

is it a braided vacuum hose?
