«

Hi, Can anyone give me any advice on a good sprcialist to get my Mk5 gti serviced. I live in Burnley just off the M65. The 40K service is due. Can anyone tell me what it should intale? Would Kwik-Fit be a viable option?
Cheers

No - you must be having a laugh
Service details are in the handbook - not being offensive but read it. Surely you did not buy a GTI without it
You should also consider replacing the water pump at the same time as replacing the cam belt as this is preventative maintenance and could save you a few quid in the future

Id rather let my 10 year old nephew service my car than Kwik-Fit.

Thanks Steve. Do u mean the VW dealer near Gana or is there another one i haven't seen hiding somewhere?
My previous car was a Lexus so im pretty used to forking out for main dealer. I just hope they dont scratch the bonnet again like they did when it went in for its MOT. They sorted it all out but its still not what you expect. And im definately not taking it to Blackburn VW where i bought it from. Nothing but arseholes

Sorry about asking a silly question about wot's involved in a 40K service. i didnt think the hand book would cover it in detail as my previous cars handbooks never did. Opps my bad :embarassed:
