well i got some coolant from gsf its the red febi bilstien or something like that, got 2 X 1.5 litres mechanic put all 3 litres in and just put some water in we had the car running for ages with heaters on full wack but im not happy until there is more water added unless someone can say thats fine what mechanic did. it was prob 200ml of water that went in. is there something wrong there? as im sure loads of water had come out when we drained it. but main question is how many litres are in the coolant system? temp is still same!  I AM NOT HAPPY and that guide in maintanance link it dont tell you whats the capacity.

far too much antifreeze in it now! I use a 50/50 mix which is still a bit too much antifreeze for summertime but it works. main reason I go for 50/50 is its easy to measure
chuck a whole bottle in, fill bottle with water chuck that in, then put half the antifreeze from 2nd bottle into 1st bottle and top them both up with water. 50/50 in the tank, and 2 bottles of pre-mixed antifreeze :)

check out the coolant faq in the garage sections, covers how to bleed the system and check it for leaks.

Antifreeze/coolant wont cool your engine down, it sounds like your temp is fine. You want a colder thermostat if its bothering you.

Alot of tuners put colder thermostats in turbo stuff to run cooler. It opens quicker and easier so doesnt get the water as hot as usual.

75 deg in the golf is too cold anyhow.. should be round 90 at least.

I hope so
Thats how to corrode the feck out of your head/gasket and oil cooler and all the other important bits, G12 dont just stop it freezing it stops it corroding.
