In need of an extra month..

Hi all, so basically my Insurance policy runs out August 14th. I don't move away to University until 19th September so that'd mean I'd be stuck without a car for a month!

I've checked a few online temporary insurance websites and they've all denied me for being 20.

Is there anything I could do? Is it possible to speak to my insurance (Norwich Union Direct) and ask them if I could have my policy run an extra month and pay the cost?


How much money would I lose if I took a new 12 month policy out and cancelled it after a month? If it's going to be alot I'm not going bother

Well I didn't get any answers from anyone on here or Club Gti.. but my mate has just told me how


E-Car insurance do a Pay As You Go policy, so you can just take it out for the month then cancel it.

Just ran a quote and it'd be £114.19 for a month.. Expensive but I guess I'm desperate.

or you could get your mum or some 1 to insure it then get them to add u on as i was on my m8ts 1.9 tdi punt for 2 weeks for £24 with directline
