liking the mk 5 anyone ?

gotta say the front end has really grown on me, especially when kitted up right, but those rear lights are just... wrong.

i think its ok and it will grow on peeps, as most 'vw' fan hated the mk4 big time when it came out, i did too but it grew on me like it grew on so many others to be placed along side the other mk golfs in the stable, i think the mk5 will also end up the same as it will gather its own 'cult' following similar to that of which some peeps prefer mk1/2/3/4's etc. I know ill prob get slated for my reply but at the end of the day its a 'vw' and its there latest version of the 'golf' like it,hate it whatever, they will sell sh@t loads of em and youll see more and more on the road, and when the prices (used) are with in the range of peeps like my self and many many others as this will be the newest 'mk' golf they will be snapped up aswell!!

i like all mk's of golfs, thats why were here, but your not on the internet on your zx spectrum or your commadore64 or amiga are you??? times change people........

VW reckon this GTI will be untouchable - hardly surprising considering the cost of the thing!!!

when the V6 version launches 2005/2006 (R32 replacement) they reckon it'll be 30k+ with options... can't see many people at all going for that.

you know, a standard mk 5 lets admit looks s**t but im actually liking what the guys in europe have done with it ( see september issue of the golf mag )    What im not a fan of is bodykits thrown in cos it makes the mk5 even chunkier looking and makes the rear end look like the back of a lorry ITS SO HUGE LOL. Im actually planning on replacing my mk4 for the new golf, i mean who doesnt want the newest model out eh
de badged, rub strips removed, 19s, air bag suspension to make sure it goes real low ( it lessens the big butt visual effect ) are yous in favour of the recent euro trend that is going on ?

Rather have the first model out! cant beat the classic lines.

I think the euro look is fantastic if done properly. I love those Phat wheels!
