I have a 1990 16V on 15s, with a drilled box and a full stainless Scorpion system.? My m8 has a 1989 8v on 14s, with an induction kit and a full magnex stainless.? Just want to know which you guys think would win in a flat out 0-60 race? and from 60-120mph?? ?

16v would easily win the 0-60 and the 60-120 would be the nightmare come true for the 8v.

i still cant understand why people still think, like for like, that an 8v will beat a 16v

a 16v has more power & is better geared for sprinting than an 8v, end of story!!

the only way an 8v will beat a 16v is how good the driver is.

And Dizzie a 16v will beat an 8v no question, but it won't leave it for dead, no way, you would need something like a 20vt to do that

Used to have a 1.3 Mk1, felt like you were doing 120 when the needle read 60. Foor gears and all of them slow
Never got a speeding ticket though?

Yeah,  mine tops out at around 95-100mph!  But it shakes all over the place and sounds like its gonna crumble beneath me when I rag it, sooo, i try not to!  Plus the unfortunate driver who sits behind me gets a face full of smake and dust

Love it when i dump the clutch and there a convertaable sitting behind me with the roof down
