« on: 22 June 2009, 09:43 »
Ouch...just spotted a nasty stone chip on off side front wing. How easy is it to do yourself (bearing in mind I'm a complete numpty diy-wise) or is it best to call in the experts ie chips away etc? Advice welcome! Ta

Its not easy!
You need to use primer I think, to get the chip level to the rest of the paint around it etc.
I got some touch up paint for a few bits that you cant easily see - I wouldnt want to use it anywhere noticable, since Im a noob like you when it comes to these things!

Looks like a decent job. I tried fixing some stone chips on my silver Astra Sport Hatch. The only thing I achieved was making it look worse!!

That's just my experience though, I'm not great when it comes to stuff like this. The link from Cass looks good, might be worth following that.
