Take some of the comments on here with a pinch of salt, I think some of the older drivers are jealous at the thought of a 19y/old getting their mits on a mkVI GTI

I wouldn't say it's people that are jealous. It's the fact that he's bought a car without checking insurance that people don't get.

some of u puddings are missing the point if im 19 and can afford a brand new mk6 gti specd up to 25k obviously an expensive insurance quote isnt going to bother me the trouble is its hard to find somebody that will give me that quote

I presume I'm one of the puddings missing the point. Thats fine, as I say a pudding would be someone who goes and buys a car that they can't actually get insurance for. Enjoy looking at it and cleaning it on your drive.

As for jealousy, that doesn't even come into it. It's not too hard for most people to walk into a dealers and buy a car on the never never, some of us are just wise enough not to. We choose to spunk loads of cash on a 20 year old VW instead.

This is where my £26K+ would go, if I had it available.  At least after a few years of ownership I know I'd get almost all of it back, maybe abit more if i were lucky.
