Injectors
« on: 19 June 2009, 10:49 »
It's a mine field out there! I am trying to find a replacement set of injectors for my shed. (Golf G60) I believe the standard ones fitted are 245cc. Anybody know what other makes of car share the same injector and what flow rate I can sensibly increase to without going to stupid? There is a set on the bay for my car but the seller wants £195 for them. They have been on there for months now and I can see why at that price.
I could get mine cleaned, but they are old and cleaning them is no guarrantee.

heres a few from an injector list I've put together over the years:

Vauxhall C20XE blue = 241cc/min, Bosch 0 280 150 427
Volkswagen MK2 G60 'Green' = 244.9 or 263.8 or 280?cc/min, 49hp, Bosch 0 280 150 905, VW 037 906 031 D
Ford v6-3.8l SC? = 300.1cc/min, Bosch 0 280 150 945
Vauxhall Calibra Turbo C20LET yellow = 304cc/min, Bosch 0 280 150 420
Audi 2.2 S2 (3B) = 304.8cc/min, Bosch 0 280 150 737
Volkswagen MK2 G60 'Grey' = 307.9cc/min, Bosch 0 280 150 923, VW 037 906 031f

not sure what differences are between G60s running the green or grey injectors, quite a lot of difference there! Plus I found a lot of conflicting figures for the greens as you can see

Oh and heres a link to where I got the data from, if you find a set of injectors with a bosch part number you can look up the flow rate :)

g60 greys are listed for cat models, whereas the greens are for cat and aircon models according to ETKA

Thanks for the info guys. I have actually removed the CAT and I don't have aircon. Back to do more research.

the inj are matched to the ecu I beleive, the differences listed above for the inj on etka are also listed for the ecu.
this gives me a possible idea, whats the part number off your ecu?

i also believe cossies have bosch injectors in them

maybe that is worth an ask ???

greens  are the smallest  they are meant for aircon models

grey and white are for non aircon cars and are bigger
all the VW's have gone bar 1.

I can't remember the part number. The car is at Gatwick at the moment with me in Spain visiting my family. It's the same one as the Corrado G60.

Looks like I have the wrong injectors then as mine are green. But I would not have thought that would give me all the troubles I have been having. But nevertheless, I need new ones regardless I think.

Well now I have the info as to what part numbers may suit my car, it is worth giving them a buzz if all else fails.

I had a quick look, but I think they are for highly modified cars rather than mildly modded ones like mine. I would have to change loads of things just to make them work. :undecided: Thanks anyway.

the corrado g60 has green injectors and no air con also

easiest and cheapest route is getting them checked over first then cleaned if needed at a bosch centre. £200 on injectors that might not be the problem is a lot!
