Hi guys been and ordered a mark 6 GTI and have been told it will be in build week 28 whatever that means!! the spec is:  Pearl black metallic
                             18" monzas
                             5 doors
                             electric sunroof
                             winter pack
                             acc
                             rcd 510 + dynaudio
                             xenons
I've never owned a golf before and have longed for a GTI for years, I just love the look of the new mark 6 GTI over and above the mark 5.  I am sooo looking forward to getting it.  Pics when it arrives.

Congrats on your purchase ! Welcome to the forum. MK6 section hasn't really kicked off yet but Im sure given time it will.

Blimey VW must be rubbing their hands! I appreciate the Euro > Pound rate isn't good but the whole point of the MK6 was thats its cheaper to make, wouldn't be able to tell that from the asking price

I take it at £27k, your car is DSG and not manual ?

No it's a manual, the xenons are the thing that bumped the cost but I reckon they look really smart.  Also when you factor in the price of ACC and stereo it  soon mounts up.  But what the heck it's only money!!  Also I'm only paying £20000 for it cos I got £7110 as a trade in on my old Peugeot 307.

PS I'm loving this forum idea.

From what I can gather that is the week that the car begins to be built and will be shipped by the end of July or early August.  Can't wait

That sounds very expensive for that spec... The Silver car in my dealer was £27600 and that was DSG and leather... How much are the Xenons??? Surely not as much as leather and DSG put together??
