Okay, so first proper update.
This is exactly how I got her. Picked her up last week from just outside Guildford.
She's a 1992 3-door VW Golf GTI 16v which as you can see has been converted to run a G60 (1.8 8v supercharged) engine. Her current specification is as follows:

There's still plenty to do, but as you can see from the pics her bodywork is in excellent condition and there's the biggest pile of history paperwork I've ever seen in my life:
