TT quattro sport alloys
« on: 16 June 2009, 22:54 »
i love these wheels an think they would look rly nice on a mk5, but i dont see many for sale. i have found a site that sells replica's which is perfect but it doesnt state stud diameter. does the new shape TT match the golf mk5??

(pics are with wheels on a mk1 TT, not sure of it's the same fittment?)

new mkII TT is same stud pattern as mk5 golf at 5x112 i think

original TT is 5x100 which is the same as mk4 golf

becareful on replica's though i.e. those with dodgy polished lips, maybe heavier, softer material and not as good finish.
original looks ace in real, as the rear ones are .5" wider i think or something like that and has a slightly dished effect on the rears

good luck

ye thats y i love them, the dish effect is amazing. surely they would replicate that in design?
replica's are always a risk i guess, but it's either them or R32's. most other nice wheels are out of my price range

These are local to me and had some lovely black ones with a silver rim. They do MKV fitting and offsets too. I spoke to the owner about the alloys they sell and he says he only supplies replica's that are made in Italy/Germany and will not sell replica's from China or that he knows are rubbish.

Bought My TD Pro race alloys from him.

i couldnt find them on that site, hurdy, thx though.
i have found a set on ebay though. am i right to assume that unless they state golf mk5, they won't fit?
normal TT wheels and other vw + audi are 5x100 and mk5 is 5x112
i.e these will not fit:

correct me if this is wrong.

does anyone have an opinion on the TT wheels, its a toss up between these and similar style R32 rep's.

Yes Adam,

You need to state MKV 5x112mmPCD and if they are 8" wide you would be looking at an offset between 45 and 50 to get them to fit.

The TT sport alloys look a little bit better than the R32 versions

I dunno if i like these mate, would be good to see a Mk 5 with them on it to make up my mind.

I like the 19" RS4 alloys, looks good on the Mk 5
