tryed halfords?

they got a list in there of what you need.

my rears cost £17 and i done them myself its a peice of cake.

all you need is an alan key, hammer, and long nose pliers.

release the 2 nuts with alan key

beat of the caliper with the hammer

then turn and push the break piston clockwise with the pliers....job done in about 30-40 mins

What ever you do, do not use that technique on the rear calipers as they have to be wound back (usually with a specific brake winding tool as they can be very tight) Forcing them straight back will ruin them indefinitely.

im not shore but i think the fronts are just push pistons where as the back are screw in's..

ive only done the rears on my mk3 8v because the caliper came of due to the former keepers dodgy diy skill.  But on my old95 seat toledo id done the fronts and they were just push'ys.

you wont know til you take the pads out or someone has defo answer if there screw ins the piston will have grooves in it for a special vw tool...or long nose pliers...

hope this elps but do it yourself co its cheap and easy.. be careful tho when i done the rears i didnt chuck the front wheels and it ended up on its axles...
Had to get the good old widow maker out to get the fat slag back on all 4 wheels

I use one of these on my rears, they can be used for the fronts but a big lever ( or clamp as shown) will suffice on these.
