wheel arch trims
« on: 13 June 2009, 22:34 »
I've acquired a nasty scratch in my NSR wheel arch plastic trim after a brief stop in Sainsburys car park (why do these things always happen in supermarket car parks?) Obviously VW will sell me a new one for £25 plus VAT, but i'm hoping i can do better than that from a specialist supplier. I've had a search online and all the trims i've seen seem to be blacker and narrower than mine which are greyer and wider if that makes any sense!!  I've got a 98 Gti dark green met colour, so i'm sure all you Mk3 boffins will be familiar with the trim scheme on those, and will know a good supplier of same! Thnx!

They are all the same, if yours is grey it is because it has faded, I would also recheck your VW price I was quoted a lot more for one last year, your best bet is to try and find a s/h one but you will be looking around £20 to £40

the one's fitted to the se are different to gti one's.....but any from a broken gti will fit and there all the same (well colour might not due to the crap plastic vw used..but some peanut butter will sort that!)
have a look in the breaker section on here and see whats about
