that is most defantly 8v anyone who has been trying to say it's a 16v needs a large slap and from now on shall only be allowed to have engines containg upto 8 valves for insulting 16 valveyness

I'm guessing somebody (Toby) has probably been on Edition 38 and read my posts regarding the very same engine..

It kicked off a bit of a debate over on that forum too lol

Don't see how it matters though cus the other day you were telling everybody it's your mums car :huh:?

Who cares how many valves it's got for gods sake. It's still a slow engine how ever you look at it.

you can have a SOHC and 16 valves btw.

The only car I ever knew with that set up was the Triumph Dolomite Sprint, I could be wrong however.

yeah it is only 15 down from the 8v GTi

it doesnt really matter to be fair. i just wanted to know:)
and i know its a slow engine.

Well no but power is not everything, I had an 8v Gti and found it quick enough for the driving I did plus good on fuel.
