i have a 2.0 16v abf and just put it in a mk2 but was never given the chip key is there a way of bypassing this or removing the immobiliser
can anyone help please

I believe specialists can bypass it, it is built into the ecu.

if you can find a matchign key and transponder chip from a donour car, this can be coded to your ecu by vag-com. I've not yet tried it myself but apparently it works! Other option is to get a non-imobilised ecu.
