thanks for remap ben in manchester today, just been for blast like total different car, scared my girlfriend to bits, you  know what my driving like, lol

keep up the good work.


i think my brother will be having his car done soon.

This really makes that much difference then?

I think an R-tec remap is top of my mods list now after reading all this good comments.

Had mine done today + rolling road session at R-Techs and I'm well chuffed.

Rich is a sound honest guy, really knows his stuff.

No worries.

For me the most noticable are 2 areas.
The peak torque increase from 3K-4K and the lower down torque increase.
In standard form the turbo was beginning to spool at around 2000rpm, now it seems as low as 1400rpm.

I hear that the only thing the remap will mess up is the clutch ... any opinions on this like how quickly will it mess it up and how much is an uprated clutch?

Doesn't necessary 'mess' your clutch up, as this mostly depends on:-

a) The current condition of your clutch

b) Your driving style.

The good news is, that an up-rated clutch is cheaper than the stock clutch system.  (Look for the VR6 thread in the Mk4 Maint. & Info. Section). :afro:

haha well really hope it transforms the car like you all say :p
